Iron Maiden FUTURE PAST tour Stozice Stožice Arena 28 maggio 2023
Poche righe sono sufficienti per dire che questo è stato il più bel concerto degli Iron Maiden che abbia mai visto. Lo colloco veramente un filo sopra a Firenze 2003, Bologna 2008, Graz 2013 e Trieste 2018.

Quella di Lubiana (prima data del Future Past Tour) è stata una prestazione individuale e complessiva discreta ma non esaltante, diverse “cappelle”, il rallentamento di alcuni brani.
Quindi, alla luce di questo, come faccio a dire che sia stato il più bel concerto loro che io abbai mai assistito?
Ecco i motivi: sicuramente ha influito l’eccitazione per la primissima data del “Future Past Tour” e una scaletta veramente inedita, e non solo per me…ma per i Maiden stessi!
Un Bruce Dickinson che se l’è cavata più che egregiamente dietro al microfono, un Harris che suona granitico da Harris, i tre chitarristi bravi a parte qualche errore sparso qua e là ma ci sta, un Nicko macchina che coi suoi quasi 71 anni “suonati” spacca come nessuno…vogliamo criticarlo perché rallenta alcune canzoni?
Una scenografia inedita incentrata ovviamente sul nuovo Senjutsu e Somewhere In Time, una atmosfera veramente magica ed unica poiché non si sapeva veramente che canzoni potessero suonare (a parte qualcuna), e questo ha fatto aumentare notevolmente l’emozione della “sorpresa” scaletta. Personalmente è la prima volta (eccetto i concerti anni 90 e primi 2000) che vado ad un concerto loro senza sapere tutto, i blog ed i social su questo hanno rovinato molto. Ammiro chi è stato all’oscuro delle scalette in questi anni!

A mio modo di vedere la sola Alexander The Great (MAI SUONATA DAL VIVO DAI MAIDEN!) e la nuova Hell On Earth valgono tutto il concerto.

Che dire in conclusione se non che gli Iron Maiden sono tra le migliori band della storia della musica soprattutto per quanto riguarda longevità, qualità di album incisi, umanità e simpatia di quasi tutti i sei componenti, influenze importanti su tantissimi generi musicali, ispirazione per milioni di gruppi dagli anni 80 ad oggi, eccetera…
Quale Future Past adesso? Mi riferisco a dopo questo inarrivabile e meraviglioso tour… vedremo e sentiremo, questo è sicuro…
